The progress bar that displays in the middle of the screen during importing is provided so the user can see there is activity and Voxel Link is running and processing elements. It tracks beam, column and annotation processes. Revit does not have an integrated progress bar so Voxel Link created one that runs in tandem with Revit. As processing of each member occurs, the progress bar is updated.
The relationship between Revit and the progress bar is sensitive, however. The expectation is that Revit is the Windows application receiving full attention. If the user clicks away to another application on their desktop during import, the progress bar may stop updating. Rest assured, Voxel Link is still grinding away in the background, but you lose direct feedback of where it is. If you click back on the Revit main window, the Revit title bar mat display "Not responding" and does not restore functionality to the progress bar. But... it is still working.
v1.2.0 added a progress bar recovery at import milestones (after each floor framing is completed, after columns are processed, after each floor is tagged). Between these mildestones, the progress bar may stop updating if Revit loses focus. However, when I milestone is reached the progress bar will start updating again.
Best practice is to simply let Revit and Voxel Link do their thing and not click away from Revit.
