Installation & First Launch

The installer automatically detects which versions of Revit are installed on your machine and installs the compatible versions of Voxel Link (VL) for you. It places the main add-in files (.DLL and .addin) in Revit’s default add-in folders:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\<year>

If you prefer, you can choose to install Voxel Link for only specific versions of Revit during the installation process.

The first time you launch Revit after installing Voxel Link, you’ll be prompted to load the add-in. Depending on your company’s IT policies, you may not be able to select “Always Load,” so it’s a good idea to check with your IT team.

You will see this prompt again after installing future updates to Voxel Link.
